Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for Maternal Fetal Medicine, requiring ARDMS OB/GYN registration and prior travel experience at a large teaching hospital.
Details
- Maternal Fetal Medicine unit at a large Level 1 trauma facility with 579 beds across 2 campus sites
- Patient population includes OB/GYN, midwifery, and REI patients
- No breast imaging experience required
- Sees up to 8 patients per day (4 mornings, 4 afternoons); twin pregnancy scans count as two patients
- 8-hour day shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- Weekend coverage on an as-needed basis
- No block scheduling permitted
- 16-week assignment
Requirements
- ARDMS registration with OB/GYN credential required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Large, teaching hospital experience required
- Experience in OB/GYN required, including fetal anatomy scans (routine and detailed), follow-up OB, BPP, UMB and MCA dopplers, 1st trimester scans, pelvic ultrasounds, sonohysterograms, and HyCoSy
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Candidates who primarily scan GYN/early dating OB may be considered if not proficient in MFM scanning
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
- Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Complete work history details including bed count, EMR system, and facility type required for consideration
- Public transportation is not accessible in the area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
