Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Level 1 cardiac facility, requiring 3-5 years of experience and RDCS or RCS certification.

Details

• Non-invasive cardiology department at a Level 1 cardiac facility
• Performs transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms on adult patients
• Level 1 cardiac program includes ECMO, Impella, TAVR, and LVAD procedures
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms with echocardiograph studies
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience at a Level 1 facility required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• RDCS or RCS certification required
• Active TX license required if applicable
• Experience with complex sonographic principles, instrumentation, and techniques
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Proficient in approved clinical protocols for cardiovascular ultrasound examinations
• Two professional references required
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Prepares patients for procedures and obtains clinical history to guide imaging techniques
• Records statistics and performs daily maintenance of the echocardiography lab and equipment
• Acts as a resource to staff, physicians, and students on equipment and procedures
• Assists with IAC accreditation activities and quality protocol adherence
• Implements new technology and protocols as standards evolve
• Scrubs must be any solid color with no prints
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
