Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment, requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

5th floor Medical-Surgical unit with 33 beds
Patient ratios of 6:1 on days and 7:1 on nights
Unit supported by 3 techs per shift and unit secretary coverage on dayshift
Uses IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and SCDs
Charting completed in Meditech
Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Scheduled to work every other weekend
Floats in rotation to other appropriate areas as needed

Requirements

Active TN or compact RN license required
BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
One professional reference required

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical-Surgical unit
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
No local candidates will be considered under any circumstances
