Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift role requiring stroke patient experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details
- Med Surg unit in an acute and sub-acute care hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week guaranteed schedule
- Must be willing to take telemetry patients as needed
- Weekend schedule to be determined by facility
- On-call schedule to be determined by facility
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- NIHSS certification required, or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer
- Willingness to obtain mRS/SIREN certification within 48 hours of offer
- Willingness to complete Basic EKG test and score 85% or higher within 48 hours of offer
- Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years experience working with stroke patients, clearly listed on resume
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- COVID vaccination required with state-recorded proof; declinations not accepted
Additional Information
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
- Deliver and oversee quality nursing care appropriate to the physical and developmental needs of assigned patients
- Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without restrictions
- Local candidates accepted
- No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
