Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a combined Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU night shift role at a small rural hospital, requiring 3+ years of relevant experience and comfort across all three specialties.

Details

• Rural, small 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital setting
• Combined Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU unit
• Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
• RN/patient ratio of 5:1 depending on acuity, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours/week
• Every other weekend required, plus holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• 3+ years of PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry experience required
• Must be comfortable working across Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU specialties
• Basic dysrhythmia test required in profile
• Cardiac monitoring experience in a Medical/Surgical setting required
• Rural or small facility experience preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently with minimal orientation

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of profile upload; requests of 5 days or less may be approved, with no changes allowed after submission
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• No non-billable orientation provided
• First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met
