Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Swing Bed unit requiring 2+ years of experience and an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Med Surg Unit-Swing Bed Program providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapies
• Assists patients transitioning from acute hospital stay back to home or a long-term care facility
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Implements and monitors patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition
• Coordinates care across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient treatment
• Carries out physician and nursing orders
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Follows Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
