Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring ARRT (R) or RCIS certification and prior IR experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology Lab setting supporting cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs
- 4x10 hour day shifts, with start times of 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
- No weekend shift requirement, but rotating night and weekend call is required
- Uses fluoroscopy, Siemens equipment, ultrasound, and PACS
Requirements
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required; if ARRT (R), a California radiology technologist license is required
- License required if applicable
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
- Fluoroscopy permit required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an IR Tech required
- Prior travel experience required
- Skilled in vascular, neurological, and genitourinary IR studies and procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and vascular closure systems
- Experience with EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and equipment set-up
- Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and monitor patients accurately
Additional Information
- Provide technical and procedural support for a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac procedures
- May mentor and train students
- Follows strict adherence to safety, privacy, and regulatory standards
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Requires completion of lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
