Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level III trauma hospital, requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Details

  • Inpatient and outpatient CT scanning covering neuro, full body, cancer, stroke, and lung screening cases
  • 4 scanners in house with approximately 100 patients scanned per day
  • Night shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM
  • On-call as needed per department needs, including possible weekend coverage
  • May float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Uses Siemens Force and GE scanners with PACS and contrast administration

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
  • ARRT and BLS certification required; ARRT CT and ARRT R preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience required
  • Experience in inpatient, ER, community hospital, and adult ICU settings required
  • Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Proficiency with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and vascular CT studies
  • Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and isolation precautions/PPE
  • Experience with special procedures such as biopsies, drainage, CT arthrography, and vascular CTA preferred
  • Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Work within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with a Level III trauma designation
  • Solid gray scrub color required
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Local candidates accepted for this radiology position
  • RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment
  • Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as a perm employee
  • Pending state license accepted at time of submission
