Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring 2 years of adult critical care and pediatric experience along with RRT licensure.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric Respiratory Therapy unit
• Care for pediatric patients including those with BPD, RSV, respiratory distress syndrome, ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis
• Perform airway management, suctioning, intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Manage ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation weaning
• Administer respiratory medications and Heliox therapy
• Perform chest physiotherapy and arterial blood gas draws/interpretation
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
• Weekend work required per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RRT license (Colorado license required if applicable)
• AHA BLS certification
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years adult critical care experience
• Minimum 2 years pediatric experience
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Gray scrub top with black bottoms required
• Local candidates accepted within 75 miles
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO not permitted during specified blackout periods including late September, late October through early November, late November through early December, and late December through early January
• Candidates who have worked for this health system's internal travel or perm staff within the last two years will not be considered
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
