Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience and ACLS/BLS/ARRT or RCIS certification for a cardiology and interventional radiology unit.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology setting
• Cases include cardiology, vascular intervention, and IR procedures
• Impella and thrombectomy experience preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required approximately 10-12 days per month

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required (either accepted)
• State license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency with procedural responsibilities including monitoring, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and vascular closure devices
• Experience with a wide range of cardiac cath lab and IR procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, IABP, stent placement, angiography, and vascular access procedures
• Fluoroscopy equipment experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for cardiology, vascular, and IR cases
• Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays
• RTO requests are reviewed case by case and factored into total contract length
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Facility conducts an on-site drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Facility housing may be available
