Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 3+ years of experience, prior travel assignment completion, and an active MI license.
Details
- Work in the ICU of a 288-bed acute care hospital and Macomb County's first verified trauma center
- ICU patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity, with Step Down ratios of 1:3
- Primarily ICU assignment with potential to float to CVICU
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM) with a 36-hour guarantee
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required at time of submission
- Compact licenses not accepted
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
- Copy of ACLS certification required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for nursing specialties
- LARA and Nursys license verification required
Additional Information
- Deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and plan care accordingly
- Implement and evaluate individualized nursing interventions based on patient response
- Navy blue scrub dress code required
- Facility enforces a strict 3-strike attendance policy for absences or tardiness over 20 minutes
- Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate
- Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of separation
- Requests for more than 5 days of RTO are not accepted
