Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown unit requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• CV Stepdown unit caring for post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients
• Day shift schedule: 7:00AM-7:30PM
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
• 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage on a department rotation basis
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• CVICU, post-op CABG, and vascular patient care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct care for CVICU patients including post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status cases
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Conduct hourly rounding on patients
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Offer constructive feedback to peers and pursue ongoing professional development
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Returning workers must take a 6-month break after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning to this health system
