Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a level 1 trauma teaching hospital background and multi-specialty scrub experience.
Details
- 12-hour mid shift, 36 hours/week on a day/evening rotation
- Day shift starts at 7am; evening shifts start at 9am or 11am
- Works every 3rd weekend as needed and every other holiday
- On call required once per schedule
- May float to another OR location if needed
- Surgical services unit covering general, GYN, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine cases
- 17-room OR suite staffed 24/7
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient OR experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Scrub experience required
- Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties
- Neuro and vascular scrub experience preferred, in addition to general, GYN, and GU
- Excellent communication skills required
- Must provide valid driver's license for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide circulating and scrub nursing support across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Must be flexible and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
- Previous permanent staff are not eligible for this travel position
- First-time travelers may be considered if they meet the experience requirements
