Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a level 1 trauma teaching hospital background and multi-specialty scrub experience.

Details

• 12-hour mid shift, 36 hours/week on a day/evening rotation
• Day shift starts at 7am; evening shifts start at 9am or 11am
• Works every 3rd weekend as needed and every other holiday
• On call required once per schedule
• May float to another OR location if needed
• Surgical services unit covering general, GYN, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine cases
• 17-room OR suite staffed 24/7

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient OR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Scrub experience required
• Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties
• Neuro and vascular scrub experience preferred, in addition to general, GYN, and GU
• Excellent communication skills required
• Must provide valid driver's license for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide circulating and scrub nursing support across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Must be flexible and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Previous permanent staff are not eligible for this travel position
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet the experience requirements
