Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring AWHONN Intermediate certification and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Manages high-risk deliveries, C-sections, VBAC, and antepartum/postpartum care
• Follows AWHONN patient ratio standards
• Utilizes Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• 2-3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation
• Experience with high-risk OB conditions including pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and multiple gestation
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required in hand for consideration
• Two supervisor references required, with one from most recent assignment

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
• Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, and neonatal care in the delivery room
• Support high-risk deliveries and assist with C-sections
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced rate
• Facility cannot accommodate candidates with latex allergies
• Travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation
• Travel pairs accepted
• Badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• NIHSS certification may be completed during compliance if pending at submission
