Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2-3 years of ED experience and TNCC certification on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in a 19-bed Emergency Department with 6 hall beds and 6 sub-waiting room spaces
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Supported by ED Techs, AEMTs, and Paramedics on staff
• Uses GE Monitors, Lucas 3, Glidescope, EV 1000, and Level 1 infuser equipment
• Documents in Meditech
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Minimal floating to other units

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and either PALS or ENPC certification required
• TNCC certification required
• CPI certification required within 30 days of start
• 2-3 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Experience with moderate sedation, central line placement, chest tube placement, IV insertion, lab draws, POC testing, EKGs, and respiratory treatments
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Facility holds Stroke Certification, Cath Lab designation, and Level 3 Trauma status
• Dark blue scrubs required for dress code
• Emphasis on patient experience practices including whiteboard usage and keeping patients and families informed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
