Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring active ND or compact RN licensure and prior Level 1 trauma and med/surg experience.
Details
- Acute care Med/Surg Neuro unit (6AB) in a Level 1 trauma hospital
- 32-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4-5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
- 12-hour weekend day shifts only, including every other holiday
- Floating required to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo
- Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
Requirements
- Active ND or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds) required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience with successful assignment completion required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Neuro patient experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible, with reduced rate for those living 60-80 miles away
- Candidates within 80 miles of the facility are considered local with an adjusted pay rate
- Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
- First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
