Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab and outpatient setting requiring a Texas PT license and inpatient rehab experience.
Details
- Rehab Therapy Outpatient department, with coverage extending to acute care and outpatient services as volume requires
- Day/weekend shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No call requirements
- Patient ratios include 5-6 patient care hours in rehab, 12-15 patients in acute care, and 6-7 patients in outpatient
- Unit staffed with 2 full-time PTs and 2 PTAs on day shift
- Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
- Texas PT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Inpatient rehab experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred due to high Hispanic patient population
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include PT evaluations, reassessments, and treatments for inpatient rehab patients
- Duties also include team conferences, family training, and home assessments
- Works closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and physicians
- Energetic personality suited to handling diverse team dynamics preferred
- Navy scrub color required
- No crocs, visible tattoos, or facial hair inconsistent with N95 mask fit guidelines
- Follows AIDET and ICARE unit guidelines and policies
- Permanent positions available on the unit
- Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
