Description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift CT Technologist with 2+ years experience to perform both CT and X-Ray exams independently at a 60-bed acute-care facility.
Details
- 60-bed acute-care, full-service facility with a Level III trauma designation
- Works in the Diagnostic Radiology/CT Scan department
- Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required
- Covers both CT and X-Ray modalities during shift
- Typical nightly volume of 5-6 CT scans and 8-10 x-rays, ER census dependent
- On-call support available for OR cases and high volume periods
- No routine call requirement
- Works alongside a night ultrasound tech and performs some order prep tasks during slower periods
- Equipment includes GE VCT main CT scanner, Discovery RT backup scanner, GE Difinium collapsable column portables, and GE XR646 digital x-ray rooms
- Uses Meditech and Change Healthcare (McKesson PACS) for EHR/imaging
- Serves all patient populations with minimal pediatric work
- Supports inpatient and ED exams including trauma and stroke stabilize/ship workflow
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist
- Current CT and X-Ray license required if applicable
- OBMI State License required
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to perform both CT and X-Ray exams independently
- Surgery C-Arm and Fluoroscopy experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for night shift collaboration
Additional Information
- Supportive team environment with fellow techs available to assist and answer questions
- Hospital-wide orientation training provided, with orientation held weekly on Mondays
- Any solid color scrubs accepted; a light blue scrub set is provided and laundered by the facility
- Open-toed shoes and shorts are not permitted
- Task-oriented personality with good communication skills preferred for night shift coordination
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
