Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of experience and NC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a 355-bed acute care hospital
- Averages 5-15 cases per day
- 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- 2 years of experience required
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire
- ASLS certification preferred
Additional Information
- Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Documents patient care and monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team
- Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient transfer, discharge, and referral needs
- Provides patient and family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients
- Facility includes specialty centers for brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedics, and a Level 3 NICU
- Must start orientation on one of the designated 2026 start dates
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any Lifepoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
