Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a fast-paced cardiac unit requiring KY or compact RN license, 2 years acute care experience, and NIHSS certification.
Details
- Cardiac Telemetry/Mixed Acuity unit with 59 total beds
- Patient ratio of 4-6:1
- Night shift, 1845-0715, three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR
- RN reads telemetry and titrates cardiac medications including milrinone, dobutamine, heparin, and amiodarone
- Common diagnostic procedures include cardiac catheterization and stress testing
- Equipment used includes dynamaps and telemetry monitors
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute inpatient RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation of clinical interventions
- Provide patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serve as a mentor/preceptor
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
