Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring 2+ years of recent critical care experience.
Details
- Community hospital setting with 396 staffed beds
- Respiratory Care unit supporting adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care patients
- Patient ratio of 1:8
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 6:45pm-7:15am
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Must be able to float to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery
- No on-call requirement
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Recent critical care experience required
- RRT certification required (CRT not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- South Carolina RCP license required in hand at time of start
- License required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform respiratory care duties including ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway management
- Support high-risk deliveries and NICU/pediatric respiratory needs
- Assist with intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care
- Administer nebulizer treatments and various respiratory medications
- Caribbean Blue scrub color required
- Free parking available
- Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
- First-time travelers not accepted for this role
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted
