Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 3-4 NICU position requiring 3+ years of NICU experience including vents, oscillators, pressors, and micro preemie care.

Details

• Level 3-4 Neonatal ICU setting within a hospital
• Patient population ranges from 23 weeks gestation to 4 months old
• Neonates admitted primarily from labor and delivery, with unit responding to neonatal emergencies and attending high-risk deliveries and C-sections
• Treats conditions including extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome
• Provides noninvasive nasal CPAP, mechanical ventilation, High Frequency Oscillation, and nitric oxide inhalation therapy
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• STABLE, NRP, and BLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required
• Experience with vents, oscillators, pressors, and micro preemies required
• Experience performing bedside procedures including peripheral IV insertion, septic workups, intubations, percutaneous catheter insertions, parenteral therapy, and blood product administration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Assist with bedside procedures, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and parent teaching
• Most diagnostic services are provided at the bedside
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
