Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring 2+ years of hybrid OR experience and extensive endovascular procedure expertise.
Details
- Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 staffed beds
- Hybrid OR / Special Procedures Interventional Radiology unit
- 4x10 day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional late shifts based on unit needs
- Flexible on-call schedule, roughly 8 shifts per month, varies with rotation
- Holiday call may be required
- Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is not guaranteed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Hybrid OR experience required
- Extensive endovascular experience including FEVAR/PMEG, EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA, angiograms, declots, lysis, stenting, embolization, and TAVR
- Greater than 1 year of Zeego and Pheno experience required
- Experience with Penumbra, AngioJet, Shockwave, IVUS, Jet Stream, and Medrad equipment
- EPIC charting experience required
- ARRT and BLS certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Prior travel experience required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Knowledge of PACS, Siemens hybrid/advanced vascular features, Pheno/Zeego troubleshooting, and Siemens Portable C-Arm functions (digital subtraction, road mapping, measurements)
- Familiarity with vascular supplies including balloons, diagnostic catheters, wires, and sheaths
- Must work well independently and under pressure in a high-acuity environment
Additional Information
- No scrubbing required for this role
- Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius to be considered for the standard travel rate; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period (can be broken into partial shifts)
- During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
