Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuroscience ICU position requiring strong critical care experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Neuroscience ICU (Lunder 6) caring for critically ill adult patients with neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, spinal cord injury, and multisystem organ involvement
- 24-bed unit with an average census of 22
- Clinician to patient ratio of 1:2
- 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required, no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- Minimum 2 years of strong critical care experience required
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Neuro critical care nursing experience preferred
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start and upon expiration through NURSYS and BON
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to complex neuroscience patients with multisystem involvement
- Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility and will receive a reduced rate
- Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
- Parking is not validated; public transportation or paid public parking is required near Boston-based sites
