Description
American Traveler is hiring a Surgical Oncology RN for a night shift hospital role requiring ONS/ONCC certification and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

- Surgical Oncology unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
- Provides nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatments
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Coordinates care plans and educates patients and families on hospital procedures and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
- Travelers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
