Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3 years of ER experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• Option of 2 on-call shifts per month (24 hours each) or 2 additional shifts per month
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
• Copies of certifications required for consideration
• Two supervisory references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius may be considered as locals at the local rate
• Expect to work some holidays during the assignment
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with no requests during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks off, and must be approved prior to start
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for 5 years before becoming eligible to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered, though candidates with travel experience are preferred
