Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care Radiology department requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology department
• Works alongside Rad Techs, Ultrasound Techs, and Mammography Techs
• Patient population includes ER, OR, inpatient and outpatient cases
• Patients scheduled 1 per hour to allow flexibility for inpatient and ER cases
• Uses Cerner EMR
• CT equipment includes Siemens 64 slice and 128 slice scanners
• 8-hour evening shifts, 40 hours per week
• Weekend scheduling may apply based on CT proficiency
• Holiday coverage provided through call rotation
• On-call radiologist available when not on-site

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT certification in CT (Computed Tomography) required
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required
• Fluoroscopy permit required
• License required if applicable
• Active state licensure required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging procedures for ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Orientation length varies based on prior CT scanner experience
• Facility provides scrubs
• Fluoroscopy permit is a plus for candidates able to support OR and routine radiology work
• Additional certification in Mammography or advanced imaging is a plus but not required
• Venipuncture experience and OR experience are considered a plus
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
• Candidates who worked directly for facilities affiliated with this health system within the past year will not be considered
• Local candidates may be considered depending on facility rate policies
