Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU/PCU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Support a newly opened PCU with possible ICU patient care
• Care for MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patients, floating between units as needed based on census
• MS/Tele ratios of 6:1; Critical Care ratios of 2:1
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in ICU/PCU setting required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with critical care skills such as arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, and cardiac drip titration
• Neuro care experience including EVD, intracranial bleed, and post-TPA care preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across ICU, PCU, and MS/Tele units as needed
• Utilize skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team participation
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with zero tolerance for positive results
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
