Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA RN licensure and ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.

- Emergency Department setting within an acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- CPI, TEAM, or TEAM-A certification required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in the ER specialty, within the last 3 months
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients following the nursing process
- Supervise and direct various levels of nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
- Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care needs
- Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe environment
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and compassionate care
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
- Delegate tasks appropriately among healthcare team members
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
- Candidates with a prior licensure action will not be considered
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction; local pay rates match travel rates
