Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring active CA RN licensure and ACLS/NRP certification.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, 36-48 hours per week
- Delivers coordinated nursing care to patients in labor and delivery
- Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff across various levels
- Coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required, 3 months recent experience
- No prior license hits accepted
Additional Information
- Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care plans
- Implements care plans, coordinates delivery, and evaluates patient outcomes
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, humane care
- Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning
- Delegates duties appropriately among healthcare team members
- No radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
- Required to receive all vaccinations as a condition of employment
