Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center with combined adult/pediatric emergency care, requiring a CT or compact RN license and TNCC certification.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Level II Trauma Center setting

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Experience managing dysrhythmias required
• Central line care and management skills required
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience administering IV vasopressors required
• Respiratory skills required, including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patient care
• Experience with isolation precautions and triage required

• Provide emergency nursing care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Facility is part of the Yale New Haven Health System

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Returning perm staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• RTO of up to 7 days can be auto-approved
• Candidates residing within a 75-mile radius are not eligible unless local rate is accepted
