Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg for a 13-week assignment requiring IL RN license and at least 1 year of recent experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 6:45am-7:15pm)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, wound care, and cardiac monitoring preferred
• Experience with respiratory, gastrointestinal, genitourinary/renal, and neurological patient care preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for a variety of Med/Surg, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and post-surgical cases
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days, with no more than 3 days consecutively and none during the first or last week of the contract
• Former University of Chicago Medicine or Ingalls permanent staff must have a 7-month separation before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling requests must be made at time of submission and discussed during interview
