Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring OH or compact RN license and current PICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a children's hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Float to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license required, in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required
• Recent Level 1 trauma experience required
• First-time travelers considered if candidate has closer to 3 years of PICU experience
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, care of ventilated patients, and acute airway maintenance
• Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Skilled in ICP monitoring and management of acute/chronic renal failure
• 2 professional references required, including at least one supervisor or manager-titled reference

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Floating to other units is a requirement and a key point of emphasis for this facility
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the past 2 years
• Local candidates are not permitted; a 60-mile radius rule applies
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
