Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a PICU position requiring 2+ years of current PICU experience and an OH State or Compact RN license.
Details
- Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting within a children's hospital
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Uses Epic charting system
- Required to float to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
Requirements
- Active OH State or Compact RN license in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required
- Recent Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skilled in ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and care of ventilated patients
- Skilled in central line care, arterial line management, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
- Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- 2 professional references required, including at least 1 supervisor or manager titled reference
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- First-time travelers with closer to 3 years of PICU experience will be considered
- Candidates cannot have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- Floating to other units is a strong expectation and point of emphasis for this facility
