Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg Ortho unit (6C) within a hospital setting
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts from 7am-7:30pm, 3 days per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday shift required
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for use by the healthcare team
- Responsible for reporting and correcting safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
- Support professional development by offering constructive feedback to peers and colleagues
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Previous Carle Health contingent workers must have completed a 6-month break in service if on assignment for more than 1 year prior to returning
