Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute care hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Inpatient Occupational Therapy unit within an acute care hospital
- 162-bed facility featuring a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county-designated trauma center
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, scheduled 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Weekend rotation required
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD), or foreign equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- Occupational Therapy license required in state of practice, if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Plan and conduct treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions
- Serve as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care
- Complete evaluations and establish individualized treatment and discharge plans
- Provide therapy interventions using appropriate protocols and techniques
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines
- Supervise assigned assistants
- Limited RTO available, with no more than one or two long weekend requests approved and no RTO over holidays
- Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate as traveler positions
- Required vaccinations per facility policy, with medical and religious exemptions considered
