Description
American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of experience and high-risk L&D expertise for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit with 16 beds and 120 staff members
- Day and night shift staffing includes charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN roles
- Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Uses Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Charts in Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR systems
- Shift hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU
- Weekends and on-call not required, available upon approval
- Unit performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact)
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN intermediate or advanced, or NCCEFM)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- High-risk L&D experience required
- Immediate newborn care experience required
- Circulating experience preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care for L&D patients including high-risk cases and immediate newborn care
- Scrubs/attire provided by facility
- Best personality fit includes outgoing, friendly, and adaptable candidates
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- Work at a Magnet-designated flagship hospital recognized as a top hospital nationally
