Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Neuro night shift position requiring 2 years of specialty experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Details

• 6 West Ortho/Neuro unit within a hospital setting, 34-bed capacity
• Patient population includes stroke, neuro, post-op back surgery, and hip fracture cases
• Patient ratio of 1 to 5
• Uses Alaris and Pyxis equipment
• Epic EMR used
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement of every third Friday/Saturday plus a minimum of 2 Sundays per schedule
• Floating required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS certification required, NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Ortho/Neuro nursing experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• EKG testing required as part of the qualification process, with on-site testing required after clearance
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

• Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic and neurological patients including stroke and post-surgical cases
• Team-oriented environment valuing strong collaboration and communication skills
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Nose rings are not permitted
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced bill rate
