Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of Med/Tele experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work on a Med/Surg unit (2 South)
• Rotating weekend schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Performs general Med/Surg procedures including IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and ADLs

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele specialty experience required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
• Meditech experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for nursing decisions and actions within the scope of nursing practice
• Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Must demonstrate competency in Patient Experience standards including AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery
• Supervises other staff as designated within the department
• Navy blue scrubs with Medical City embroidery required, with proof of purchase
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
