Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 16-week assignment requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and current EPIC proficiency.

Details

  • Operating Room unit in a large hospital setting
  • Rotating day/evening 10-hour shift schedule with a typical pattern of three day shifts plus one off shift
  • Off shift options include 0845-1915, 1045-2115, or 1245-2315
  • Call requirements include one weekday call per week plus one 24-hour call every four-week schedule block
  • Schedule flexibility required to meet unit and patient care needs
  • No block scheduling available

Requirements

  • Active VT or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
  • Experience in a large (500+ bed) Level 1 trauma center required
  • EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Both circulating and scrub skills required
  • Strong general OR experience required
  • Skills required across multiple specialties including ortho, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma

Additional Information

  • Provide circulating and scrub nursing support across a wide range of surgical specialties
  • Must work 2 of the 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
  • Bi-weekly orientation sessions available, with the next one starting 11/02
  • Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit access in the area
  • Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
  • Candidates must accept assignment within one submission at a time system-wide
  • Local candidates are accepted, and radius-based pay tiers apply based on direct-line mileage: local (50 miles or less), radius (51-100 miles), and travel (101+ miles)
