Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology/MRI RN with an active IL RN license and prior Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience for a 12-week assignment at a Magnet-designated hospital.
Details
- Work in the Radiology/MRI department of a Magnet-designated hospital
- Provide patient education and preparation for imaging and procedures
- Collaborate with inpatient and ambulatory physicians and nurses to coordinate patient care
- Manage patient care during moderate sedation and Phase I/II anesthesia recovery
- Days shift schedule with 4x9-hour varied day shifts, 40 hours per week
- No weekend shifts and no holiday shifts required
- Minimal on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted)
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
Additional Information
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions and changes in patient status
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
- Assist in maintaining equipment, supply inventory, and workplace safety
- Participate in QA/QC programs and support department policy updates
- Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert for staff and physicians
- May assist in instructing students and new staff
- May perform Charge RN/Supervisor or Imaging Coordinator duties in their absence
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year without a required 6-month break in service
