Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ER Observation unit position requiring trauma and travel experience along with an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the ER Observation unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Trauma and travel experience required for this assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients ranging from simple to complex health conditions
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatment responses
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed
• Administer medications and initiate/monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; candidates must be booked at least 4 weeks from offer date
• Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
