Description

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Pediatrics RN with Epic experience for a Pediatric Urology Clinic requiring BLS certification and 1+ years of relevant experience.

Details

• Outpatient Pediatric Urology Clinic setting
• Performs circumcisions, urinalysis, point of care testing, and urodynamic testing
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY State or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of experience required
• Experience in Pediatrics, Family Care Clinics, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, and Urology required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in assessments, specimen collection, urinalysis, and setting up/assisting with procedures
• Experience with telephone triage and pharmacy refill requests required
• No licensure hits accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, specimen collection (urine, throat, venipuncture), and assisting with minor procedures such as suture removal and dressing changes
• Handles office duties including scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and telephone triage
• Provides patient teaching and recognizes signs of common pediatric conditions such as asthma, croup, ear infections, and RSV
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles are not accepted for this position
• Returning permanent staff must have been separated from all UK-affiliated facilities for at least 6 months to be eligible as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to starting the assignment
