Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift float pool position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Float Pool position in the Intensive Care Unit
• Float required to all ICUs including MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• No call requirement
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI and CCRN
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients preferred
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, AKI/renal failure management, and renal transplant patients preferred
• At least two recent manager references required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity ICU environment covering multiple specialty units
• Strict 5-day maximum RTO policy
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
• Permanent LCMC Health staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for this travel position
• First-time travelers may be considered unless otherwise restricted
