Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a CA license for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level II Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Weekend work required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating outside of scope required
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience (hard requirement)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB, and NIHSS certifications required
• CCRN, CPI, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred, though strong candidates without it may be considered
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, and medication administration
• Experience with IV vasopressors and respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients) required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• References required for consideration
• COVID vaccination status required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level II Trauma Center
• Facility maintains a strict dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than small earlobe earrings, and all tattoos must be covered
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Client may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment
