Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details
- Emergency Department unit within an acute care hospital with 200 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts with variable start times of 1500 or 1900
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required between like units
- Uses Epic charting system
- Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
- Neurological and ICP monitoring skills preferred
- Triage skills required
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care including triage and patient assessment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Previous Providence employees may return after a 3-month waiting period
- Returning candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
