Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department unit within an acute care hospital with 200 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts with variable start times of 1500 or 1900
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required between like units
• Uses Epic charting system
• Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Neurological and ICP monitoring skills preferred
• Triage skills required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care including triage and patient assessment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Previous Providence employees may return after a 3-month waiting period
• Returning candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
