Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ year of CT experience who can independently cover both CT and X-ray when staffing is limited.

Details

• Community hospital setting supporting CT Tech unit
• Day shift schedule with 2x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage only required if the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday
• Uses Altera EMR and McKesson/Change PACS
• Performs portable X-ray and X-ray per facility protocols
• Must be able to cover CT and XR independently if staffing is limited

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Active compact or TN license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required, 2+ years preferred
• IV competency and CTA work experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be fluent in working alone in both X-ray and CT
• Epic experience within the past 12 months required if applicable, with passing score on Epic competency exam
• Flu vaccine exemptions not accepted

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging including abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and chest studies with and without contrast
• Perform 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurements
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
• Support adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department settings
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and radiation safety standards
• Travelers expected to float unless otherwise stated
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• Candidates requiring fit testing must be clean-shaven
• No block scheduling or special schedule accommodations available
