Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds
• Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab setting
• Daily caseload of 8-12 cases
• Procedures include coronary diagnostic and interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventions, and permanent pacemaker placement
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No floating requirement
• On-call requirement
• Epic EMR used, experience preferred
• 30 hours of orientation provided

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP required
• ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Fluoro Permit required (license required if applicable); candidates with a pending Fluoro Permit application will be considered
• CCI RCIS certification preferred; RCIS accepted with 5+ years experience but not in place of ARRT
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in procedural responsibilities including equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and accurate monitoring
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Experience with EP studies including cardioversion and AICD/pacemaker insertion preferred
• Experience with vascular, peripheral, and interventional radiology procedures preferred

Additional Information

• Perform coronary and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and permanent pacemaker insertions
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and supplies as part of daily responsibilities
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius, at a lower bill rate
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab role
• RTO must be approved at time of submission, with limited flexibility once the assignment begins
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• May be expected to float between sister facilities within the same health system
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
