Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in coronary and peripheral diagnostic/interventional procedures for an acute care hospital cath lab.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds
• Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab setting
• Daily caseload of 8-12 cases
• Procedures include coronary diagnostic and interventional cases, peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional cases, and permanent pacemaker insertions
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• On-call required
• No floating required
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 30 hours of orientation provided

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP procedures required
• ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Fluoroscopy Permit required; candidates with a pending permit may be considered if already applied for at time of consideration
• RCIS certification not accepted in place of ARRT, though RCIS with 5+ years experience may be considered
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with coronary stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, PCI, PTCA, and permanent/temporary pacemaker procedures
• Experience maintaining sterile field and scrubbing for procedures
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as permanent pacemaker insertions
• Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and manage inventory as part of daily duties
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted, though local candidates may be offered a lower bill rate
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• RTO requests must be submitted and approved at time of consideration; minimal RTO requests are preferred to avoid delays
• Travelers must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
