Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in the ICU with a diverse patient population
• No burn, pediatric, transplant, or ECMO patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• 36 or 48 hours per week with block scheduling accommodated
• Float required
• Weekend rotation of every 3rd weekend on a 6-week schedule period

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC, and Tele/EKG Exam
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience with critical care medications including vasoactive and sedation drips

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a diverse ICU patient population
• Any color or brand of scrubs permitted
• RTO limited to 2 requests per contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
